LOTRO Cosmetic Outfit Tutorial

Just thought I'd make a video of my making a cosmetic outfit. I've had several questions on how to use cosmetics, equip items that aren't fit for your class, etc.. I hope this helps, and if you ever have any questions, you can always reach out to me here or on my toons in game. If I'm on Brandywine, you'll find me on Andadrien. If I'm on Vilya, I'll either be on Andadriel (my lormie) or Andadrix (my beorning).

Here is the outfit that I made:

It's made with:
Ever-Shadowed (Dyed Steel Blue)
Superior Sellsword's Shoulder Guards (Dyed Steel Blue)
Westemnet War Boots of Endurance (Dyed Steel Blue)
Luc-Socas (Dyed Steel Blue)
Amon Beleg (Dyed Steel Blue)
Elven Campaigner's Gloves (Dyed Steel Blue)
Tactical Eastemnet Campaign Circlet (Dyed Steel Blue)

So long, Vilya. Hello, Brandywine!

Well, this is the end of an era and a beginning of a new one! Tonight, I transferred my main toon - Andadrien - to Brandywine. I've heard for a while that it is super populated and that the PvP is awesome, so I finally made the leap!

It feels weird that I won't have a capped character on Vilya any longer. I might level my little second mini as a replacement... We shall see.

For now, I'm going to forge ahead and try to make friends and get comfortable on Brandy. I joined a kin already. Someone had recommended it to me, and it seems really nice so far. Again, we shall see. I was able to go out to the moors with a few of them tonight - that was fun. I'm just impressed by the population of the server. Vilya is deserted compared to Brandy; it's nuts!

The biggest thing that I dislike about transferring is that I couldn't take along my marks/meds/seals and my shared wardrobe. I took along as many of my favorite cosmetics as I could; however, I couldn't take everything. Also, there were things in the shared wardrobe that I no longer had the physical items for. I can still use them on my toons on Vilya, but Andadrien needs to start all the way over as far as her cosmetics are concerned. I expressed my sadness about this to one of my new kinmates, and he graciously offered to go through his hoard of cosmetic items and allow me to copy them to my wardrobe. That would be wonderful - definitely will help me get my cosmetics collection back on its feet, and who knows, there may be some great items in that stash that I didn't even have back on Vilya.

I will still play on Vilya, I want to cap my Beorning and maybe level my mini. Also, I still have lots of friends in Dawnbreakers that I'd like to still play with and a few in The Phoenix Rising too.

Kayloriel/Tasty

Well, allow others to suggest names for your outfits and the title you see is what you get.
Hehe

I know I haven't made an outfit in a very long time. I had all the intentions of making a Christmas-y outfit with the holiday being a couple days away and all. I took my inspiration and put it into the color; however, that's about where the inspiration ends - LOL. It was fairly simple to put together. It is made of things I had laying around in my shared storage and wardrobe. I don't have too much on my beorning yet.

The outfit is made from:
Medium Nadhin Mask (Dyed Crimson)
Golden Tree Summer Cloak (Dyed Red)
Footman's Armour (Dyed Crimson)
Dwarf Leather Gloves of Fate (Dyed Crimson)
Horse Maiden's Trousers (Dyed Crimson)
Tursur-Lhopan (Dyed Grey)

My Current L100 Gear

EDIT:  still getting a ton of hits on this post.. this was a year ago, and gear has changed and there are better options in the game. This is also before LIs could be imbued and legacies changed. Please take this post with a grain of salt. I've radically changed my essences and set up.

A few of you have asked about my gear, so I went ahead and took screenshots of what I'm wearing now at level 100. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it for the time being.

Legendary Items:

Jewellery - I didn't screen shot all pieces just the two sets:

Chubby Hobbit

This is Chubby Hobbit and my little hobbit burglar.

Twinsies!

:)

Beornings!

So the new class - the Beorning - is available to test on the Bullroarer beta server. Of course, I had to roll one and check it out. There is a new starter instance; it's not quite a full fledged starter area. I thought I'd give those of you that are not on Bullroarer a peek at the class. Make a note and keep in mind that Bullroarer is the beta testing server, so things may change about the area and the class before it goes live in the actual game.

I was able to play a little bit further. The class seems pretty sturdy and not too squishy. It is a medium armour class. The trait  lines help you specialize for different roles. One focuses on your DPS, the other focuses on your bear form and strengthening that, and the third role helps you become a healer and crowd control support - fairly versatile. I think it would be an interesting class to play. Of course, I would need additional time to level and get used to the class before making a more concrete opinion of the class.

Anyhow, enjoy the video:

Elven Commander

Wearing heavy armour is a tricky task on my elf because she is usually too delicate to pull the armour off; however, I think she wears this well. It doesn't seem over-bearing. I like the bit of androgyny that this outfit gives her. She looks like she could be a commander in an army.

I also spent like 300 gold on this outfit, but I suppose inflated AH prices don't faze you when you have thousands of gold to waste on whatever you want. I don't spend gold on much else..

This outfit is comprised of:

Potent Fangorn Helmet of Command
Potent Fangorn Pauldrons of Valour
Cloak of the Grey Company (dyed Ranger Green)
Potent Fangorn Armour of Command
Boots of the Light Step (dyed Ranger Green)
